My experience was great! All my classes were online, and textbooks/study materials are provided to you with no extra costs added to tuition. Additionally, if you are a student who's able to grasp material quickly, you have the option to accelerate your course load (e.g. take additional courses upon completion of a class through competency-based testing). When I had issues with understanding material, it was very easy to set up a call with my professors, who provided helpful incites.
I love the fact that there are no additional costs aside from tuition (e.g. books). Classes are straightforward: you can be a part of live cohorts, watch pre-recorded lectures, or read e-textbooks. Completion of course culminates in your ability to not only recall information but demonstrate understanding in the application of the material, either in test format and/or paper/presentation format. Loved that there is a school mentor that is assigned to you that provides assistance as needed towards classes, and checks in weekly to ensure that I'm on track. Overall, great experience and and satisfied.
I love WGU. I got my bachelor's degree there, and am now in the master's program. There isn't weekly homework or discussion boards like other online college programs, so it's easier to balanced school with life.
